New Construction

Need Home Improvement?

When you make the decision to build a new home, rebuild your home, or build a guest home, there are several factors to consider. We’re here to guide you throughout the entire planning, design and construction process, from start to finish.

Effective Planning

Any quality project needs effective and thorough planning. We’re happy to work with your architect, or we can work with ours to draw up the plans for your new house or layout. With large projects, timelines and scheduling are extremely important to make sure everything gets done in a time-efficient manner. That’s why we have a detailed scheduling process and excellent communication system to keep you updated every step of the way.

Changing Regulations

The permit and plans approval process looks much different than that of room additions or ADUs. There are ever-changing regulations on every element you can think of in the Los Angeles area when building new homes. For example, every new home built in the greater Los Angeles area must be equipped with solar panels, roof gutters systems, rain barrels to collect water, and more. To meet these constantly-changing regulations, you’ll need an experienced construction team to offer you guidance so you don’t end up spending thousands, if not hundreds of thousands of dollars fixing your plans to include these elements.

Quality Workmanship Above All

After plans are approved by the city, the construction process begins with a solid footing, base foundation and framing by our skilled construction team. With every new construction project, our team brings the highest level of workmanship in the industry, so you can trust you’ll have a solid base for your new Los Angeles area dream house or guest house.

New Construction FAQ'S

Can I use my own architect?

Although you’ll have access to our architects when you partner with us, if you have your own architect we are happy to work with them to step in to complete construction.

How can I find the best contractor to build a new house?

You’ll need to find a contractor that has experience in planning, designing, and building homes from start to finish. This means they’ll need to be familiar with local building codes and permit requirements, as well as electrical, plumbing and energy efficient systems that will go into the new house.

How much does it cost per square foot to build a new house?

It is difficult to determine an average square foot price for a new home, since it can range greatly depending on the features you add, the varying prices of building materials, and more. If you’re looking to build a new structure, at minimum you should plan to spend $200-$400 per square foot on a new house. Check out our financing section to learn how to make this expense more feasible for your budget!

How long does it take to build a new house ?

It takes about a year to build a new house. The time a project takes from start to finish also depends on how long the city takes to approve plans, which can take up to 6 months for regular new construction and even longer for hillside construction due to added safety requirements.

What does the process entail to build a new house ?

The process starts with identifying your unique needs and wants for the design of your new home. From there, our architects or yours will draw up plans for the new home, and once permits and plans are cleared with the city, construction begins. Throughout the process you’ll be guided on material selection, scheduling and updates on construction. When construction is completed, you’ll be handed the keys to a gorgeous new home that you’ll fall in love with.
